Disney Cruise Bars and Lounges Details
Every Disney Cruise Ship has a series of lounges, i.e. places to grab a drink, coffee, or bar snacks if you will. So if you’re looking for which bars on a Disney Cruise, this is the place. Beautifully decorated, each lounge theme is unique. Attention to detail comes into play in the seating, the atmosphere, the beverage and food menu, and decor.
Luckily, many of these spaces aren’t only for adults either. While certain Disney Cruise Bars and Lounges are smaller and focused, others offer large spaces for gatherings. Here are the different types of lounges on Disney Cruise Ships, you and your family can explore.
Lounges and Nightclubs
Themed to specific characters and films, you can find a variety of lounges and bars onboard each Disney Cruise ship. Everything from sports bars to cocktail bars, and poolside bars too. Many of the lounges onboard are open throughout the daytime hours for families to enjoy activities and trivia. Whereas in the evenings, usually after 5 PM they change to adult only spaces.

Coffee Bars
Found on all Disney Cruise Ships is the Cove Cafe. This is an adult-only coffee lounge, typically located in the adult area of the boat. Specialty coffees, cold brews, espressos, and coffee with alcohol all cost extra.
There is a family coffee bar generally located near the center of the ship on deck 4 or 5 that serves up the same menu and is open to all ages. Vista Point is the family-friendly coffee bar on the Dream and Fantasy. In addition to Cove Cafe, on the larger ships you also can find specialty coffee bars that are themed to certain characters.

Adult Only Bars
Found on the Adult Deck of each Disney Cruise ship is an Adult-Only outdoor deck bar. This is specifically an adult-only bar, because children are not allowed in the adult-deck area of the ship. Signals is on the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder. And Currents is found on the Disney Dream, Fantasy, Wish, Treasure, and Destiny ships.
You can also find Hook’s Barbery, another adult-exclusive bar, on the Disney Wish, Treasure and Destiny. A barber shop by day, this space turns into a prohibition era bar in the evening, offering specialty sips from the rum runner days.
Cost
The cost of Alcohol on a Disney Cruise varies, depending on what you order. Everything from a $12 glass of red wine to a $250 bottle of Dom, not to mention that $5000 dollar drink on the Disney Wish, means quite a price range! And it really is all about your choice of liqueur. A Hendriks Gin Martini runs about $24 a glass, while a Hurricane at any bar is typically closer to $12.50 That said, keep in mind that one of the best Disney Cruise Line Drinks secrets is the Drink of the Day, which is typically $6 or $7.
A beer on a Disney Cruise typically costs between $7- $10. And the range is significantly less, though of course there are specialty and craft beers on a Disney Cruise as well. Plus, you can also grab a Disney Cruise Beer Mug for refills to keep costs down. Keep in mind that an 18% gratuity is automatically added to your bill. Take a look at what’s not included on a Disney Cruise so that you can get an idea of what additional costs you need to consider.

Activities
Many of the Disney Cruise Bars and Lounge onboard the Disney Cruise ships have daytime hours and evening hours.
During the day, you can enjoy a variety of programming set up by the crew and entertainment team. Simply check out the Disney Cruise Navigator App, available once you’ve turned on airplane mode and linked into the Disney Cruise wi-fi. At that point, you will find your daily activity list sharing what is happening when and where throughout your cruise. Bingo, Trivia, Crafts, Live Music, Towel Folding Classes and even Cooking Classes are often on the docket. And specifically for adults there are a variety of cocktail mixing classes, beer and wine tastings and more, that are offered for a fee.

Disney Cruise Bars and Lounges on Every Ship
One of the best things about the Disney Cruise Line Ships is that they are all relatively similar. Which, for us, just means it feels like we’re coming home every time we set sail. We tend to know a bit about the layout, and the things we’ll find on each boat. This is especially true for the sister boats.
The Disney Dream and the Disney Fantasy are sister boats and have the same layouts, but with some different restaurants and lounges. And slightly smaller, the Disney Wonder and Disney Magic are sister ships that are also quite similar. The larger ships include the Disney Wish, Disney Treasure and Disney Destiny, and all are sister ships, and all laid out the same.
Cove Cafe
Also, since each boat has some similarities there are a couple of things that are available on all of them. Cove Cafe is the boat’s coffee shop. Often tucked away in the Adult area of Deck 11, Cove Cafe offers up specialty coffees for a fee and free pastries from the case.

Disney Cruise Bars, Lounges and Nightclubs FAQ
As one of the best parts of any Disney Cruise Ship design, be sure to take some time to explore the lounges onboard even if you don’t plan on drinking during your trip. These are some of the most beautifully designed spaces and well worth a look.
Are Kids Allowed in Disney Cruise Ship Lounges?
Yes! Kids are allowed in Disney Cruise Bars and Lounges spaces typically until 5 or 6 pm at which point they become adult-only. Afterward, the lounge shifts to a more adult atmosphere with live music.
Are the Lounges on the Disney Cruise Ships the Same?
No! Just as each ship has its own character and theme, each of the Disney Cruise Bars and Lounges do too. Even among sister ships where the Lounges are named the same you can find differences.
Where are the Lounges on a Disney Cruise Ship?
Another mainstay of the Disney Cruise Line is that Disney Lounges tend to be grouped together, typically between the decks 3- 5. It also tends to keep the evening drinkers away from the evening family activities, which is a nice separation.

Yes! Disney Cruise Line has a variety of bars, lounges and nightclubs on board each Disney Cruise Ship. And believe it or not, alcoholic beverages can be found nearly everywhere! From wine at dinner to a wide array of cocktails, beer, wines and spirits in each lounge, you can even get Baileys in your coffee. Just one of our favorite reasons that a Disney Cruise is Great for Adults. While Disney Cruises don’t offer a drinks package, there are still bars and lounges onboard. Read more about Alcohol on a Disney Cruise so you know all the details before you go.

As all the bars are full service, you can also ask for cocktails without alcohol and they can whip something up for you, without a problem.
