Disney Dream and Fantasy Deck Plans

Disney Dream Deck Plans

The location of your room can be important for many reasons. Are you worried about seasickness? Try a midship room that’s slightly lower. Will you be living at the pools or water slides? Find a room on the upper decks. You can find the Disney Dream deck plans here. With this, you can see if the location of this room is right for you. Room 8671 on the Disney Dream is located aft, on the port side, or the left-hand side of the ship when facing forward.  This location was pretty quiet and slightly tucked away down the hallway which kept foot traffic noise down a bit.

Disney Dream Inside Stateroom 8671 Location

Due to its location, it’s convenient to the aft stairs and elevators, making it easy to get from floor to floor. Deck 11 on the Disney Dream is where you’ll find a majority of the action, so being on Deck 8 keeps you pretty close to Cabanas and poolside quick service restaurants, funnel vision, the fitness center, Cove Cafe, and the pools. Deck 8 is still a bit from the atrium, main dining rooms and lounge section which are mostly on Deck 3, but it’s just a few decks away from the Kids’ clubs without the chaos and lower ceilings that you’ll usually find there.

However, due to it being in the aft, there is some vibration during docking and anytime the ship is using more power. This may not be an issue for some people, but for anyone who is sensitive to noises or changes in atmosphere, this can be startling. And it can also wake you up. Just something to be aware of!

Disney Dream Cruise Rooms are pretty classic “Disney Cruise Line” style. One of the 4 original Disney Cruise ships, the rooms on the Disney Dream tend to have smaller Disney details, rather than a full art display above the bed like the newer ships. They are comfortable, cozy and nautical. There are a variety of Disney Dream Stateroom types to choose from. So they have a variety of rooms to accommodate different tastes and budgets. And no matter which room you choose, you can always make things feel extra special with Disney Cruise Stateroom Door Decorations.

We booked this room for a 5-night Bahamas cruise sailing out of Port Everglades. Stateroom 8671 is a Standard Inside Stateroom in category 11C. This was my first time ever staying in an Inside stateroom and didn’t really know what to expect! The inside rooms on the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy have a magical porthole. This is basically a screen that acts as a digital window to the outside. So you can see where you are during daylight hours. And there are cute animations that pop up every 15 minutes that add a bit of magic too!

Disney Cruise Inside Stateroom Beds

The Disney Dream Inside Stateroom 8671 room sleeps four! The queen bed can accommodate 2 adults, the sofa turns into a twin bed, and there is a pull down bed from the ceiling that is also a twin. When pulled down, this is similar to bunk beds.

Disney Cruise Inside Stateroom Bathroom

The bathrooms in this Disney Dream stateroom are a bit different than what you might be used to with Disney Cruise. Rather than two rooms that make up the bathroom, there is one larger bathroom with everything in it, much like you’d get at a hotel. I didn’t necessarily dislike this setup, but it can make small space living a bit more of a challenge if you have a larger party.

Disney Cruise Inside Stateroom Storage

The inside staterooms have a little bit less storage than you’ll find in other categories on the Disney Dream. The bed is raised for easy storage of luggage. And you’ll find a closet with both shelving and a hanging rod as well as a couple of drawers for unpacking during your trip.

Would we recommend a Disney Cruise Inside Stateroom?

For this room, Room 8671 on the Disney Dream, it really depends! We loved the location and we love that this stateroom was tucked away in a little alcove, rather than just situated between two stateroom hallways which really cut down on noise. But, the vibration of the ship really could be unsettling for some people. It doesn’t happen too often, but when it does, it is quite noticeable.

Inside staterooms in general are a bit smaller, so if space is a concern, it may be a better idea to opt for an Oceanview or Verandah stateroom. And we did miss the classic split bathroom setup that Disney usually offers. But we loved the animations on the magical porthole and the porthole itself did make the room feel a bit more open. And having an inside stateroom was great for sleep because it got so dark in the room with no natural outside light that it lent to a very cozy atmosphere.
