Disney Magic Lobby
The Disney Magic Atrium Lobby features an art deco style scheme with teals, and corals in the carpets, and on the walls. The chandelier is inspired by the rays of the sun, and the whole space features angled ironwork. Helmsman Mickey is the statue in the atrium of the Disney Magic and offers a great photo op! He sits just outside the entrance of Lumiere’s.

Disney Magic Staterooms
The Disney Magic offers a variety of stateroom options, include Standard or Deluxe Inside Staterooms, Oceanview and Concierge Level Rooms. All of these can sleep 3-4 people comfortably and include a queen-size bed, and sleeper sofa. The larger rooms can sleep up to 5 people comfortably with the addition of a double sofa sleeper, and pull-down bunk.
Inside Stateroom, Porthole, or Verandah?
A big question to consider on any Disney Cruise is what kind of stateroom do you need. And since prices vary drastically across all of these room types, it’s good to get an idea of what they each offer so you can make your best choice. You get all the perks of a Disney Cruise, regardless of your room type. For shorter cruises, a inside stateroom may be just fine, especially since you may not be spending alot of time in your room. For longer cruises, however, going with a Verandah room offers more space and flexibility.
Inside Staterooms
Sleeping up to 4 people, the Inside Staterooms on the Disney Magic are the cheapest and smallest offered. They feature a Queen bed, single sleeper and upper berth pull down bed.
Porthole
Rooms that include a porthole come with either two smaller portholes or one large porthole. They also feature a Queen bed, single sleeper and upper berth pull down bed.
Verandah
One of the larger room options onboard, Verandah Rooms include a balcony with seating that overlooks the water and are a dream on cruises with a view but do cost significantly more. And may not be the best bet for families with small children or if you don’t plan on being your room a lot. With a Queen bed, single sleeper and upper berth pull down bed.
Concierge
On the Disney Magic Cruise Ship, Concierge Level rooms are themed to Moana. You can get Concierge Oceanview with Verandah, 1 or 2-Bedroom Suites, or the Royal Suite. Both the Oceanview and 1 Bedroom Suites sleep up to 5 people. The 2-Bedroom and Royal Suite sleep up to 7.
Disney Cruise Room Host
No matter which room type you pick, everyone gets a Room Host that takes care of your room, cleans up, gives you fresh towels, leaves bedtime chocolates and answers any and all questions you may have. Disney Cruise line typically has 1 cast member for every 2.5 passengers, there to help you however they can.

Disney Magic Restaurants and Dining
As part of every Disney Cruise experience, there are three restaurants that make up your Disney Rotational Dining Schedule. On the Disney Magic the rotational dining restaurants are Animator’s Palate, Lumiere’s and Rapunzel’s’ Royal Table. Check your Key to the World card for your dinner seating time; first seating is typically around 5:45 PM, and second seating is around 8:15 PM.

Animator’s Palate
As part of rotational dining, the four original Disney Cruise Ships include the Animator’s Palate restaurant. Decorated with a variety of screens, you can watch Disney Animation drawings come to life on screen. From a pencil sketch of Bambi to the full color drawing, these scenes are part of your dinner experience. The decor is filled with artist-centric themes, like paint brush centerpieces, and the room is filled with colored lights. Sorcerer Mickey himself even comes out at the end of the dinner.
As part of the experience, you get to draw a character of your own, that comes to life onscreen later! Fun for both kid’s and adults. Note that each ship has a slightly different experience as part of dinner at Animator’s Palate. On the Disney Magic the show, Drawn to the Magic, is included on most itineraries. But for sailings that are 7 nights or more on the Animators Palate features the show, Animation Magic. Check out our Animator’s Palate Restaurant Guide for the menu and details.
Lumiere’s
Honoring all things Beauty and Beast, Lumiere’s invites you to “Be our Guest” with French fare served up at dinner, and American cuisine offered at breakfast and lunch. Located on Deck 3, Lumiere’s is accessible from the Grand Lobby area and the “fancy restaurant” of the three rotational dining options. Very similar to Triton’s on the Disney Wonder, the menu is the same, and there is even a Beauty and the Beast Mural, similar to the Ariel one on the Wonder. All the food here is done beautifully, with exquisite presentation, and you can tell the staff here really prides itself on the elegance of the meal. Much easier to pull off on the smaller DCL ships to be sure.

Rapunzel’s Royal Table
One of the best Disney Cruise Experiences is dinner at Rapunzel’s Royal Table! If you’re a Tangled fan the Disney Magic Cruise Ship is sure to become a quick favorite! Featuring a dinner show with Rapunzel, Flynn Rider and the crew from the Snuggly Duckling, you can sing along with the songs, and take part in the lantern ceremony. Read our Rapunzel’s Royal Table Guide for the menu and details.

Palo – Adult Only Signature Dining
Not included with your cruise, brunch or dinner at Palo offers a signature dining experience, exclusive to Disney adults. Featuring Italian fare and gorgeous 360 degree views of the water, this multi-course meal is perfect if you’re celebrating or looking for something less “Disney” than the other ship experiences. We recently had brunch at Palo and would highly recommend it as a cheaper, but just as elegant option for a special dinner onboard. Dinner at Palo is typically $70 per person for the prix fixe menu and $50 for brunch. Note, Palo requires reservations and has a dress code. Read all about our brunch at Palo for the details and menu.

Disney Magic Bars and Lounges

Mocktails, cocktails, and coffees, along with zeppole are all on the menu.
O’ Gills Pub | Deck 3

Disney Magic Entertainment
If you’ve ever been on a Disney Cruise you know that the entertainment onboard is top-notch! From Broadway-style entertainment to evening performers, games, and activities, there is no shortage of fun things to do! Here are some Disney Cruise Activities you can find onboard.
Mickey’s Sail a Wave Party A Bon Voyage Celebration
This on-deck party takes place as soon as you Sail Away! While the time sometimes varies, be sure to check out the Disney Navigator in the app for the exact time to be on deck to watch the show. On the Disney Magic Cruise Ship, the Sail Away Deck Party happens on Deck 9, but you can see the show from the balcony on Deck 10 if you can find a spot to stand and watch. This show features Mickey and Friends and Cruise Cast Members dancing and singing to help get you into the mood for your best Disney Cruise Ever.
Pirate Night
So what is Pirate Night on a Disney Cruise? Basically, it’s a reason to dress up, sing some sea shanties, and catch Mickey and Friends in their pirate costumes. Disney Cruise Line Pirate Night is a mainstay on Disney cruises sailing to the Caribbean and a must-do no matter your age! In fact, with Pirate-themed everything on the day of the party, it’s hard to avoid! There’s even a Pirate Night Menu in the restaurant that evening.
Fireworks at Sea
Exclusive to Disney Cruise Line, the fireworks are generally set off at the end of Pirate Night. Head to the top docks of the ship to see these, and watch as they are set off in time with the music! Such a fun evening and great experience!
Themed Nights on Select Itineraries
Depending on what time of year you sail, and which season it is you may get a special evening event that isn’t Pirate Night! For cruises to Alaska, there is the Freezing the Night Away party with Elsa, Anna, Kristoff and Olaf! On specialty cruise, like the Pixar sailing you get the Pixar Pals party. And seasonal parties can be found on the Very Merrytime Cruise, and Halloween on the High Seas.
Performers
Most of the performers onboard the Disney Magic take the main stage in the lobby throughout the cruise, and are hard to miss! That said, you can also catch more private performances in any of the Disney Lounges throughout the boat if you’re looking for something special.
Games, Trivia, Bingo, Tastings, and More
Players of Bingo can tackle the Bingo cards almost daily for a chance to win prizes and money. Meanwhile, there are other activities all over the boat, including a variety of Disney Trivia events, Towel Friends Classes, the Anyone Can Cook series, and more. But maybe making your own apple strudel sounds like a chore. Perhaps, just aim for a wine tasting instead. The liqueur-based activities are for an additional fee, but for the most part, activities are free!
New Release Movies
A bonus of any Disney Cruise Line vacation is the chance to see a feature film, currently in theaters, while onboard. It is typical for the ships to offer two main, current theatrical features, and then a slew of Disney Plus content as well. So, if you’re looking for some downtime, you’re sure to find something great playing in the theaters.
FunnelVision
Another mainstay of any Disney Cruise is the ability to watch Disney movies ALL DAY LONG up on deck on the FunnelVision screen. On the Disney Magic, FunnelVision can be found on Deck 9, alongside Cabanas, drink stations, quick-serve restaurants, and ice cream. Disney films like Sleeping Beauty, Wreck-it Ralph, and Pirates of the Caribbean are all part of the lineup on the big screen. Simply grab a chair, and settle in.

Disney Magic Shows
The Broadway style shows on the Disney Magic take place in the Walt Disney Theater on Deck 4. Shown opposite your dinner seating, these shows are MUST-SEE! You can grab some popcorn or a drink at the theater counter before heading into the theater for the show. Here are the shows on the Disney Magic Cruise Ship you can look forward to during your sailing.
Tangled: The Musical
Everyone’s favorite, this Rapunzel musical features Mother Gothel, as the dastardly villain who traps Rapunzel in her tower, and the daring Flynn Rider who rescues here. But really it’s the songs and the Snuggly Duckling crew that makes this show extra fun! Get ready to sing along for a raucous and kinda romantic time.
Disney Dreams – An Enchanted Classic
Featuring classic Disney storytelling this show is about a girl named Marie who needs to learn what it means to believe. With some help from Peter Pan, songs and stories from Lion King, Tangled, Cinderella, Aladdin, and more help her along. Great for both kids and adults, this is a Disney Cruise Show classic not to be missed.
Twice Charmed – An Original Twist on the Cinderella Story
This newer show on the Disney Magic is a Cinderella story, complete with all the characters you know and love from Cinderella. While Cinderella, Prince Charming, the Stepsisters, Lady Tremaine and even Gus and Jaq are part of the show, there’s a new villain in this story to look out for! Fairy Godfather Franco DiFortunato is making deals with the Evil Stepmother that will ensure Drizella’s and Anastasia’s proposals instead! A bit of time travel, with the hopes of destroying the glass slipper is all that is needed to decide Cinderella’s fate. A fun twist on this familiar tale adds new songs and a lot of fun to the show.

Disney Magic Characters
As with any Disney Cruise, you get the chance to not only see your favorite Disney characters in the deck shows but also meet them in the halls and at photo spots.
