Selecting your stateroom on a Disney Cruise can be quite the task. Is the location good? Is it noisy? Are there any weird issues I might need to know about? We are sharing all about Cabin 2510 on the Disney Wonder. This is a Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with one large porthole in category 9C.
Disney Wonder Deck Plans
Location is only important if you know the overall layout of the ship. You can find the Disney Wonder Deck plans here. And from there, you can see if the location of this room is right for you. Room 2510 on the Disney Wonder is located almost all the way forward on the starboard side. This location is super quiet and we never had an issue with noise. It’s also really convenient to the restaurants and shows on Decks 3 and 4. One thing that’s also nice about this room is that it and the room right next door, 2512, are just slightly larger due to the shape of the ship. It’s not a ton of extra space. But it’s noticeable for us!
One thing to note about the location of this room is that it is quite far from the laundry room on deck 2. It’s on the opposite end and in the opposite hallway, so if you plan to do laundry on your trip, just be aware that you will have to travel a bit to get your laundry done.
Some people wonder what the benefit of being able to choose your stateroom on a cruise is. There are a lot of things that might sway you to book one location over another. But it’s really a matter of personal preference. Want to be near the kids’ club? Choose a room on deck 5. A little worried about sea sickness? Book somewhere midship and on a lower deck if possible. Take a look at the deck plans and see what works for you!
Disney Wonder Staterooms
The rooms on the Disney Wonder are pretty classic “Disney Cruise Line” style. They’re not overly flashy or modern, but they are comfortable, cozy and nautical. There are a variety of Disney Wonder Stateroom types to choose from, inside rooms to concierge 2-bedroom suites. They have something for everyone in all types of budgets.
Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with large porthole on the Disney Wonder 2510
We booked this Disney Wonder Stateroom for our Disney Cruise to Alaska. We originally wanted a verandah, or even a navigator’s verandah, but the price difference between an Oceanview and the cheapest verandah was over $3000 for our sailing, and on average, closer to about $4500 additional. So we stuck with an Oceanview Stateroom. We had sailed on the Disney Magic in a similar room, room 2512, so we were familiar with the area and layout of the room. The Disney Wonder stateroom 2510 is a category 9c Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom.
When booking an Oceanview Stateroom, it’s important to note that there are two different kinds you can get. One large porthole, or two small portholes. The small portholes are quite small. So if you’re hoping for a larger porthole for the view or to be able to sit in, be sure to book a stateroom with a large window. You can see a full stateroom tour of room 2510 on the Disney Wonder on our YouTube Channel here.
Bed options in room 2510 on the Disney Wonder
A 9C category Disney Wonder Stateroom can sleep 3-4 people. This room in particular sleeps 4 because it does have an upper berth bed that pulls down from the ceiling. In this room you’ll also find a queen size bed and a couch that converts into a twin bed. The bed is super comfortable and so was the twin sized couch bed. We didn’t use the upper berth bed on this trip, so can’t comment on how comfortable this is.
View from the Porthole in Room 2510 on the Disney Wonder
The view from our Disney Wonder Stateroom Porthole was amazing! Though we thought we would miss out on the verandah, we actually loved being able to see the scale of the scenery from deck 2. Another plus was that we were able to enjoy the scenery from our room, without having to be in the elements of the Alaskan weather. This cruise wasn’t particularly cold, and we were very lucky to have great weather on our cruise. But the wind can get quiet chilly, especially in the mornings and evenings. So the porthole was perfect for us.
Bathrooms on the Disney Wonder Room 2510
One unique feature on the Disney Cruise ships is the split bathrooms in most rooms. These bathrooms make it super easy for families to get ready, or just not have to worry about when someone needs to take a shower. They are split into two rooms. One with a toilet and sink. And one with a shower, tub and sink. The bathrooms in the Disney Wonder Stateroom are pretty standard to what you’ll see on the original 4 ships.
Storage in room 2510 on the Disney Wonder
Storage space in rooms on the Disney Wonder tends to be pretty good! They have multiple dressers and drawers, as well as space in the closet. One of our criticisms of the rooms on the Disney Wish is that the rooms didn’t feel built for longer voyages. On the Disney Wonder though, that’s not the case. You could easily unpack most of your things and still have a little bit of room available.
Would we recommend Room 2510 on the Disney Wonder?
Yes we would! The location of the room is quite far forward, which we liked for the quietness of the location. The room location was super convenient to both decks 3 and 4, which made getting to meals, shows and most activities very easy. Overall, if you’re looking to book a Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom onboard the Disney Wonder, we think room 2510 is a great choice.
Regardless of which room you choose on the Disney Wonder, we hope you have the most magical cruise on Earth. Bon Voyage!
