French Quarter Lounge on the Disney Wonder

French Quarter Lounge on the Disney Cruise Ship Wonder

French Quarter Lounge is one of many lounges onboard the Disney Wonder. Themed to Disney’s Princess and the Frog film, here you can find Tiana’s beignets, Dr. Facilier’s spirits and handcrafted cocktails, unique to DCL. Located just outside the exclusive Tiana’s Place restaurant, this lounge is the perfect place to start or end your evening after dinner down in New Orleans. Read on to learn all about the French Quarter Lounge onboard the Disney Wonder. We’re sharing photos, the menu and our favorite drinks.

Lounges and Bars on the Disney Wonder

The Disney Wonder, like all Disney Cruise Ships, has plenty of lounges and bars onboard for adult only fun. Though many of them aren’t actually just for adults, they do offer up both family and adult only activities, as well as adult beverages, entertainment and more during the daytime hours. And French Quarter Lounge is one of those places onboard the Disney Wonder Cruise Ship. This means you can be playing trivia with the kids, while sipping the drink of the day, and snacking on beignets. French Quarter Lounge is a fairly new addition to the Disney Wonder, new to the ship in 2019.

French Quarter Lounge Location

Replacing the Promenade Lounge, the French Quarter Lounge can be found just in between Triton’s and Tiana’s Place on Deck 3. This lounge not only has tons of hidden gems and nods to the movie, but also serves up some delicious snacks and drinks.

French Quarter Lounge Activities

French Quarter Lounge is also a great spot for onboard activities like trivia, crafts and animation classes. There is often live music here as well, especially in the evenings. Which makes it a great place to just hang out during your days at sea. You can find all activities being held here by checking out the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App.

When the lounge is not being used for planned activities, it’s a great place to get some work done too! There are plenty of tables, so if you’re someone who unfortunately needs to stay connected while at sea, grab some beignets and a latte and at least have fun while you’re working.

French Quarter Lounge Disney Wonder Menu

French Quarter Lounge Menu

The menu at French Quarter Lounge consists of beignets of course, coffees and lattes and starting in the afternoon, you can find cocktails and mocktails. Be sure to be on the lookout for Happy Hour Specials too. They often have them during earlier morning hours and during the mid evening. They’re a great way to save money on both beignets and drinks!

French Quarter Lounge Disney Wonder Beignets

Beignets

Just like any lounge found in the French Quarter you can count on beignets fried up at the ready. Here you can choose 1, 2, or 3 beignets.

La Bouff Favorite

A unique menu item at the French Quarter Lounge is The La Bouff Favorite. While this selection sometimes changes, it’s essentially a coffee, with 2 beignets, a macaron and sometimes another little unique treat. Be sure to ask your server before you order what they’re serving up!

Coffees

As you can see from the menu, there are a variety of coffees here at the ready. Classic au laits, that can be made with alternative milks if you so choose.

Spirits

And no lounge would be complete with spirits and libations courtesy of Dr. Facilier himself. Mimosas, Bloody Marys, and a variety of beers, wines and cocktails are all on the list.

Mocktails

And thankfully, if you’re bringing the kids, you can count on a few Root Beer flavored mocktail options, combining sodas to make them feel extra fancy.

Princess and the Frog Lounge on a Disney Cruise Ship

French Quarter Lounge Theme

The theming here is really just what Disney does best. I won’t give away all of the surprises, but if you look closely, you can see things like hats to represent each of the main characters from the movie. The life size trolley bears the same number of the trolley that can be seen in the beginning of Princess and the Frog, as a nod to Tiana and her mom. And if you look close enough in the iron work, you can spot Ray as well. Decorate like the airy outdoor spaces of New Orleans, you can see iron balconies, classic brick walls, and shuttered windows. These are just a few things you can expect to see inside this beautiful lounge. So keep an eye out for all the little details!

We love spending time in this beautiful lounge when sailing on the Disney Wonder. We hope you love it too!
