Are you taking a cruise on the Disney Wonder and wondering what there is to eat? Well, if you’re looking for southern homestyle cooking with a bit of the bayou, then be sure to add the Tiana’s Place Disney Cruise Restaurant to your itinerary. You’ll get a front-row seat to some classic New Orleans storytelling and jazz club sounds featuring Tiana, the Crawfish Crooners, and Ray himself. Here’s everything to know before you go about Tiana’s Place Restaurant.
Which Disney Cruise Ship has Tiana’s Place Restaurant? Tiana’s Place Restaurant is ONLY located on the Disney Wonder. Much like other specialty restaurants, such as Rapunzel’s Royal Table on the Disney Magic, this unique restaurant provides a dinner theater atmosphere as part of your dinner dining options.
Tiana’s Place Atmosphere
Inspired by all sights and sounds and New Orleans, Tiana’s Place Disney Cruise Restaurant is inspired by Princess and the Frog. As a result, this restaurant serves up creole and cajun flavors, alongside southern specialty dishes. Draped in lights and with a jazz club atmosphere, you can settle into a fun evening here. In addition to Tiana herself, singing up a storm, you can listen to the Crawfish Crooners playing favorite jazz tunes and setting the mood. This is live entertainment at its best. Filled with bright colors, you’ll recognize familiar elements from the Princess and the Frog film. Even the dinnerware has Prince Naveen in frog form, adorning the edges.
French Quarter Lounge
Located right next to Tiana’s Place is a little streetcar bar featuring drinks and small plates. The French Quarter Lounge honors the feels of Mardi Gras, the Big Easy, and Bourbon Street. Live Jazz performances are always on the menu and this is a great evening spot to take it easy. Plus, during the day, the French Quarter Lounge transforms into a family space, featuring film memorabilia, activities, and crafts.
Is Tiana’s Place Restaurant part of Disney Cruise Rotational Dining?
Yes! Tiana’s Place is one of the 3 Main Restaurants in the Disney Wonder Rotational Dining Schedule. If you skipped this step, however, just check in with the concierge to make arrangements. Read all about how Disney Cruise Rotational Dining works.
Can you meet Princess Tiana at Tiana’s Place on the Disney Wonder?
Yes, Tiana makes the rounds to visit each table during both the first and second seating of dinner. In her classic Tiana’s Place gear of gorgeous white gown and feather headband, our favorite songstress makes the rounds for a quick chat and photo op.
Let’s be honest. One of the best things about any Disney Cruise is the food. And the fact that the food is included with your cruise, makes ordering anything you like, regardless of cost, a whole lot easier. Keep in mind that every cruise potentially sees a different menu, based on the chef, food availability, and other variables. Tiana’s Place offers the Mardi Gras Menu, served on all Disney Wonder cruises. But, if you are sailing 7 nights or longer you also have the option of the Tiana’s Place Prince and Princess Menu. Check out everything on the menus for Tiana’s Place below.

Tiana’s Place Menu for Mardi Gras
We’re sharing some of the dishes we’ve had in the past so that you get an idea of what you can typically find on the Tiana’s Place Mardi Gras Menu. As a sidenote coffee, tea or soda are included in your cruise cost and can be ordered along with your meal.
Tiana’s Place Brioche Bread Service
A staple with every meal is bread at the table. This is a large brioche in a basket served with onion dip and to die for. Pace yourself though, you’ll want to leave room for the entrees!
Tiana’s Place Appetizers
If you’re a carnivore then any of these appetizers will do. The Ahi Tuna in particular was great.
- Boudin Sausage Fritters: Minced Pork and Boudin sausage, breaded and fried, served with a bourbon aioli.
- Prince Naveen’s Cajun Charcuterie Board. Cured pork shoulder, duck rillette, duck pastrami, saucisson, cajun egg, spiced mustard, and pickles.
- Sauteed Gulf Shrimp and Grits with Andouille sausage, grilled green onions, and a smoked barbecue sauce.
- Ahi Tuna Tartare with mango, pine nuts, radish, and wasabi.
Soups and Salads
While the Pepper Pot has a bit of a following, our recommendation is Mama Odie’s Creamy Tomato Soup. It’s creamy and light, with a bit of a kick from the cilantro.
- New Orleans Seafood Pepper Pot. A Creole bouillabaisse with calamari, shrimp, scallops, and flat-leaf parsley.
- Mama Odie’s Creamy Tomato Soup with chopped cilantro.
- Iceberg Wedge with pepper jack cheese, bacon, tomato, basil, and a creamy thousand island dressing.
- Pickled Gulf Shrimp and Satsuma Orange Salad with confit red onions, spinach leaves, and Frisee lettuce.
Tiana’s Place Entrees
The prime rib here was a show stopper and cooked to perfection. But we also could have gone with the Bucatini Pasta.
- Charlotte La Bouff’s Bucatini Pasta with Pancetta, Oyster Mushrooms, Eggplant, Spinach, Peas, Basil and shaved Parmigiano-Reggiano Cheese
- Cajun Spiced Sea Bass on Shrimp Jambalaya with crisp Fennel Salad and Rémoulade
- Roasted Creole Half Chicken with Toasted Corn, Pecan Bread Pudding, Buttered Chard and Chicken Jus
- James’s Roasted Pork Tenderloin sliced Pork Tenderloin with White Rice and Greens on an Andouille Sausage Stew
- Big Daddy’s Roasted Prime-Rib of Beef with a double Baked Potato, Broccolini, sweet Roasted Carrots and a Red Wine Veal Sauce
Tiana’s Place Vegetarian Entrees
Of the two Eudora’s Artichoke Ravioli was the better option. However, you don’t get a ton of ravioli. You’ll notice in the picture below, it’s like 5 ravioli. But, the flavors were wonderful and it’s a delicious dish. The butternut squash was rather timid as a dish, and simply a bunch of veggies all thrown together.
- Eudora’s Artichoke Ravioli with sauteed spinach, lemon butter, sage, and pecorino cheese.
- Honey-Roasted Butternut Squash with celery and bell peppers simmered in tomato sauce with greens and white rice.
Lighter Note Offerings
These dishes are simpler and less focused on the New Orleans flavor palette. Perfect for picky or ingredient-sensitive diners. We got the Slow-Roasted Breast of Chicken and it was pretty good. Felt a little milder than other dishes here, but as it’s on the minimalist menu, we wouldn’t have expected more complex flavors.
- Grilled Grain-fed Sirloin Steak Served with Garden Vegetables and your choice of Steamed White Rice or Baked Potato
- Slow Roasted Breast of Chicken Served with Garden Vegetables and your choice of Steamed White Rice or Baked Potato
- Oven-Baked Filet of Salmon Served with Garden Vegetables and your choice of Steamed White Rice or Baked Potato
- Warm Winter Lobster Salad with Avocado, Butternut Squash, Fennel, Endive, Grapefruit, Jicama, Hazelnuts, and a Citrus Dressing
Tiana’s Place Desserts
Of all the desserts, Tiana’s Buttermilk Beignets are the one to get. We also liked were the southern style pecan tart, however, it’s very dense and very sweet. Be sure to order an espresso, or something bitter, if you get the tart. And the Chocolate Gateau was another treat. Meanwhile, it was very, very chocolatey. Though we’re not complaining!
- Tiana’s Buttermilk Beignets dusted with Powdered Sugar and Served with Chocolate Espresso Dipping Sauce
- Chocolate Doberge Gateau si-layer Sponge Cake filled with Chocolate Chantilly Creme
- Mama Odie’s White Chocolate Bread Pudding with Praline Sauce and Vanilla Ice Cream
